On Thursday May 23, the Arnold Rotary Club and the Central Nebraska Interact Club held a joint meeting.
President Buzz Lohmiller called the meeting to order, did some weekly Rotary business, discussed RYLA transportation, the mental health gifts for teachers, and then handed off the meeting to President Delaney Rogers.
As Last year’s Interactor Member of the year due to her statewide Halsey project, Rogers revealed the 2024 Interact member of the year, Anna Tullis.
Over the last year Tullis researched, designed, installed, and stocked a “Bring One, Take One” library in Koubek Gardens for the entire community. She updated the club about the missing books, and her new project of visiting the nursing home, where she and several friends entertained residents with crafts and games.
Tullis continued the meeting with installation of th
e new leadership of Interact: Eli Rogers as vice president; Ivy Tullis as secretary, and Danah Baldwin as treasurer.
Rogers updated the club on his Dolly Parton Imagination LIbrary extension to now include four counties.
The kids also updated Rotary on upcoming projects, including RYLA, a Kayak gathering and the fall.
With this being the last official meeting of the year, the seniors were celebrated. The Interact club graduated six seniors with only two able to be present. Rogers (now past-president) and Tahna Nokes (former treasurer).
